She emigrated with her uncle Arne Erichson Boyum & family in 1848 to Dane Co., Wisconsin. Married Anders Anderson (sometimes written as Henderson)Maland(also spelled Meland or Maeland) in 1854 and came to North Prairie, MN to to homestead in 1860. Anders was born June 25, 1830 at Velte Fjord, Sogn. Their children were: 1. Rachel b. Jan. 19, 1857, Dane Co., WI, m. Louis R. Hanson abt. 1887, & died Nov. 8, 1923 and is buried at Arendahl Cemetery. 2. Erick Maland b. Oct. 12, 1858 Columbia Co, WI, m. Anna Mathia Sandlie Nov. 27, 1885, & d. March 1950, is buried at Arendahl Cemetery. 3. Andrew Maland b. April 19, 1860 Dane Co, WI, m. Martha Swiggum May 1897 & d. April 10, 1936, buried at Arendahl Cemetery. 4. Anna Marie b.
