  [Langeteig.FTW] Raunehaug in the Mondale article said that Jon Halvardson was the king's ombudsman in Berge n during the second half of the 1300s. Norway was united with Denmark at that time, and foreign noblemen held mos t of the power, while the Norwegian nobility had lost most of its power. Kindem, page 141, also stated that Jon Hallvar dson Smor was umbodsmann in Bergen in 1375.
