• Notes

  [Langeteig.FTW] Harald Gillekrist, who was born in Ireland and spoke only Irish, claimed that his father wa s King Magnus Barfot Olafson of Norway, who was in Ireland about 1099 and later and died there 24 August 1103. The refore, if true, Harald would have been born sometime between 1100 to 1104. A Norwegian, Hallkel Huk Jonson, in Ireland abo ut 1129, met Harald and believed him, and brought Harald and his mother (who was Irish) to Norway. The other sons o f Magnus accepted Harald as a king of Norway. Harald married Princess Ingrid (various spellings - Ingigerd, Ingerid) of Swe den, who was the mother of Inge. Harald had children by at least three to five other women. Harald was murdered while he slept , and was buried at the old wooden Christ Church in Bergen. (Heimskringla)
