Boyums of America

Discovering cousins and our shared Boyum heritage
in America and Norway.

Greetings!

Greetings All - there is something messed up in the tree data and setup. I’m working to correct it. Ellend and Anna Boyum came to the US from Boyum, Fjaerland, Norway in 1856. The family actually begin their migration to America when their oldest daughter, Britha, departed Norway with Ellend's brother Arne and his family in 1848. The family was poised to follow in 1853 when Ellend was taken ill and unable to make the voyage. His older son and daughter, Arne and Gertrude, proceeded without the rest of the family accompanied by Anna's brother. Ellend and Anna finally completed the passage in 1856 with their younger sons, Sevath and Ole.
